The background of this study conducted in the fifth grade of SDN 1 Klahang showed that students self-confidence and learning achievement were still low. The students have not been able to show their confidence during the process of teaching and learning. The purpose of this study is to improve students self-confidence and learning achievement in natural science subjects through the articulation model. This is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects were 27 fifth grade students of SDN 1 Klahang consisting of 11 female and 16 male students. This research consists of two cycles in which each cycle consists of two meetings. It used test and non-test techniques. Students self-confidence data were obtained during self-confidence observation taken each meeting and from self-confidence scale given to the students at the end of each cycle. Meanwhile, students learning achievement was obtained from the evaluation test given in each meeting. The research showed that the average score for self-confidence observation improves from 2.36 (cycle I) with poor criteria to 2.90 (cycle II) with good criteria. Meanwhile, the average score for self-confidence scale improves from 2.48 (cycle I) with poor criteria to 3.02 (cycle II) with good criteria. Moreover, the average score of students learning achievement improves from 70.82 (cycle I) with 66% mastery to 85.18 (cycle II) with 85.5% mastery. Thus, it can be concluded that the articulation model can improve students self-confidence and learning achievement of natural science subject on Earth Structure material in the fifth grade of SDN 1 Klahang.
